MetaQuotes appears to have solved most of the issues with the new MT4 and hopefully it is now stable enough to continue coding and updating the Indicators, Expert Advisors and Scripts. A small charge may apply to convert the old MT4 software to the new MT4 code.

MetaQuotes are saying that the new MT4 will be released mid January however there still appears to be many bugs in it so it may take some time before it can be considered reliable enough for Live trading. MetaQuotes build is an absolute mess, it is almost like the MetaQuotes people are not testing anything before the release, include issues and compiler problems are two areas of concern plus a lot of the previous issues have resurfaced. MetaQuotes are now saying the old MT4 build will be discontinued in July although most Brokers have updated to builds and at this point. MetaQuotes build is even worse than previous builds if that is possible, it is almost like the MetaQuotes people really have know idea what they are doing or simply do not care either way it is a major worry to all MT4 users.

Build is no longer supported however no new series updates have been released yet, lets hope MetaQuotes get it right and fix all the bugs on the next update.

Almost 6 weeks and no updates then several updates the latest being buildnone of the previous bugs have been fixed and now more serious issues have surfaced. The platform is unstable and locks hong kong stock exchange holidays or shuts down as does the editor, the excessive memory usage is a concern and the list goes on and on.

So in summary the latest builds are so poor there is no way they can be considered stable enough for either a reliable trading or programming environment. MT4 build and it is an forex trend rider v3 system mess, nothing has been fixed and some of the earlier issues have resurfaced.

This would have to be simply the worst example of a new software release I have ever encountered. When I first updated to this build I noticed serious lagging and freezing of the platform, I downloaded a fresh build and loaded only indicators and EAs that had been compiled on this build and trade futures with scottrade worked with absolutely no issues.

My conclusion is that either the old platform had some how been corrupted by all the updates or the very presence of earlier indicators and EAs in the folders was some how impacting on the performance of the platform or possibly it could be australia post office easter trading hours combination of the two situations.

So if you are having issues I would suggest download a fresh build from your broker and try that without any Custom or coded indicators and EAs and if that proves to be alright then be very careful about which Custom indicators and EAs you put into belajar risk management forex folders.
